The International Art of Living Foundation

The International Art of Living Foundation (IAOLF) is a non-profit, educational, charitable and humanitarian non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to creating peace and fostering human values.

Founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, its innovative personal & social programmes aim to eliminate stress, create a sense of belonging, restore human values, and encourage people from all backgrounds, religions, and cultural traditions to come together in celebration and service in the global community.

The IAOLF is not a religious organization, it works hard to encourage people from all backgrounds, cultural traditions, ages and genders, across the world, to come together and make life a celebration. IAOLF works in special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations, participating in a variety of committees and activities relating to health, education, sustainable development, conflict resolution and disaster relief efforts.

The organization has developed at an exceptional rate. Regarded as the fastest growing NGO by the United Nations, the Foundation is also one of the largest volunteer-based organizations in the world. In just 29 years, more than 30 million people have benefited from its programmes which are conducted in over 150 countries across the globe.

The Art of Living has spread peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects, including conflict resolution, disaster relief, sustainable rural development, empowerment of women, prisoner rehabilitation, education for all, and environmental sustainability.
